About us
BioCopy started as a spin-off from the University Freiburg, Germany. Today, BioCopy AG is a multinational company headquartered in Switzerland, with a fully owned GmbH in Germany, which is running a modern, mid-sized operational unit focusing on R&D in the vicinity of Freiburg. Its large patent portfolio centers on high-throughput, label-free molecular interaction analyses with a broad application spectrum, but an explicit focus on the characterization of therapeutic molecules / candidates (TCRs / TCR-like antibodies) for T-cell based cancer drug development.
BioCopy high-throughput technology can streamline TCR(m)-based drug discovery and ensure informed decisions about the ideal lead candidate based on a wealth of high-quality data that was previously unattainable. This advantage will be exploited for both in-house (drug) development and in collaborations.
The BioCopy team consists of experts in biology, physics, engineering, microsystems technology and business application. Together, they are working towards an improved and faster selection of immune-therapeutics in oncology, with higher efficacy, broader pharmaceutical window and less off-target effects.
Funding is realized to secure operations well into 2025, additional fund raising is ongoing to finance the execution of the business strategy. Several strategic partnerships are envisaged to validate and leverage the platform nature of the underlying IP-protected technology, while progressing to identify and develop own therapeutic assets.
